A Card/Drinking Game I’ve Created

Here’s a game I created, check it out. I got some of the ideas from Good Neighbor who are a sketch comedy group based in LA. Anyways take a look at this and try it with your friends and tell me how it goes!!!

2 = Fuck You meaning the player who draws uses it on one person in the group who has to drink up.

3 = Fuck Me meaning only you drink up and no one else.

4 = Whores meaning all girls in the circle drink up.

5 = The person who draws this card must drink one sip for every person in the group. Failure to do so results in disqualification.

6 = Dicks meaning all guys in the circle drink up.

7 = The person who draws the card must either quote, monologue or impersonate a character from TV or movies. If they do not they have to drink up.

8 = Pick a mate meaning you and one other person you pick is drinking up.

9 = The person who drew the car has to rap for the next ten seconds about the first thing that pops in to their brains. Failure to do so means disqualification.

10 = Categories meaning the person who chose the card will pick a category e.g. Car Brands and the players will go round giving quick answers. Whoever chokes first drinks up.

Jack = Everyone who’s not white or called Jack has to drink in the circle.

Queen = The person who chose the card has to ask everyone a question and they all must answer truthfully as if it was truth or dare.

King = Everyone drinks but you as you are their king. Everyone must refer to you as King ____ for the rest of the game or they are out.

Ace = Everyone drinks.

I just got round to seeing Submarine a wonderfully brilliant indie film by director Richard Ayoade. You may know him as Moss from The IT Crowd but he’s also a filmmaker and has directed several music videos too for the Arctic Monkeys. In order to return the favour Alex Turner wrote some of the music for the film. The film itself is a tale about an obscure young man learning about love, life and growing up around people that don’t understand what its like to be him. Its a great coming of age story and is quite original in its portrayal of youth with great acting by Craig Roberts, Yasmin Paige and Paddy Considine. If you get the chance to see this film please do. Its a real treat. One of my new favourites and an instant classic.

I’ve slowly starting to listen to The Velvet Underground and this song I orginally posted but as the Aloe Blacc cover version. Little did i know that it was their song and not his. I love the serenity in this original version a lot. Its calming.

I desire the things which will destroy me in the end.

Been listening to a lot of my man Raphael Saadiq lately. He seems to have mastered moving through musical genres with styles of his music ranging from Chuck Berry and The Beatles all the way to Prince and D’Angelo. Interesting.

The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on. If you can change the way people think. The way they see themselves. The way they see the world. You can change the way people live their lives. That’s the only lasting thing you can create.

Helping Others

As the title suggests almost always I want to talk about helping others. Today I was standing outside my school with two friends when I saw a young boy fall hard on the pavement after falling off his bike. He limped off his bike and sat by a tree nearby crying. My friends voiced on whether or not to help the boy and in the end I decided to run up and help him. I helped him up whilst taking a look at his hurt arm and talking to him to find out his name and what school he’s from as my friends grabbed his stuff and we took him to our school nurse who’s hopefully fixed him up good. After we had helped him I felt like I had made a difference and I felt that the young boy would appreciate the kindness and the help because no matter how individual we are we still need a little help sometimes whether its from our family, our friends or even just a friendly stranger willing to make a difference.

Apart from the fact that its in every rap song since its Inception-see what i did there?-this film is still one of the most talked about and exciting pieces of modern cinema I’ve come across. Not only do I love the great cast, the fantastic cinematography but I especially love the fact that Inception is a smart man’s blockbluster…..a kind of sub genre that has yet to be explored.

My buddy Aniq aka MrEpic :)

Here’s a picture taken last night just before a dinner and party in celebration of my good friend Ben’s 18th birthday. There was Jimmy Spices, there was alcohol and there were good people. This candid pic highlights all the overwhelming emotions of the night. Enjoy.

Here’s two of my favourite gals on the block. Our blue eyed and blonde haired beauty is Rachel Townsend she always know when something’s up. She’s psychic like that and our brown eyed brunette is Miss Amanda Curry who’s a great listener, a kind soul and sometimes a dirty minded drunk lady. But we love her!
P.S. That black figure in the back is not a ghost. Its me trying to record audio for my Media Project.
